Venezuelan authorities announced that they had uncovered a plot to murder the daughter of National Assembly President Diosdado Cabello. The plan was revealed in a confession by Jose Perez Venta who is in prison on murder charges and has admitted his ties to the country's right-wing opposition as well as former Colombian president Alvaro Uribe, known for his active hostility to the Bolivarian Revolution and ties to paramilitary formations. teleSUR
