“We will continue our agitation and spread it to the other parts of the country if our demand is not met. We are not beggars, we are fighting for our rights,” he said. Hardik Patel asserted that if their demand will not be accepted by the government they will not let BJP win the next elections. “Patidars threw Congress out in 1985, if BJP doesn't support them, lotus will not grow in 2017 assembly elections, “ he said. “Youth will have to demand their rights. They all talk of development. This is for our development. Why is no one listening?,” Hardik added. Hardik Patel also proposed the idea of observing August 25 as Patidar Kranti Diwas. “If you all would agree we can declare August 25 as Patidar Kranti Diwas,” he told the gathering at the rally.
