Guaranteeing lifespan of 200 years! Super bridge technology
Korea Institute for Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) has developed the world's first 'super bridge' technology that applies ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) to cable-stayed bridges. Cable-stayed bridge is a bridge in which the bridge deck is supported with tightly pulled cables. The institute has developed UHPC five times stronger than ordinary concrete as well as a construction method for cable-stayed bridges. We will find out more about the super bridge technology that raised the lifespan of bridges by more than 100 years and sharply reduced construction costs.
