Saint Lucia To Step Up Efforts Against Human Trafficking

The National Security Minister of Saint Lucia has urged Marine police officers to tackle the problem of human trafficking. The country is now trying its first human trafficking case. It involves a number of Asian students who were allegedly tricked into going to the Caribbean to study at a non-existent school. Two lawyers have been provided for those affected. Several Caribbean countries, including Dominica, Grenada, Antigua and Saint Lucia have taken some steps to control human trafficking. Alison Kentish reports for teleSUR
