In the wake of "concerning' comments about the legitimacy of vote buying by a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency official, Pemantau Pilihan Raya Rakyat (PEMANTAU) says the public needs to take election monitoring into their own hands.

They have also called out authorities for not taking action against political parties who have begun campaigning before the official campaign period has been announced.
