You Can Watch Live Footage Of Corpse Flower Blossoming

A livecast has been setup for viewers to watch the first-ever blossoming of a corpse flower in Colorado.

The Denver Botanic Gardens wants you to watch as the death-like scent of decay escapes from the unfurled blossom of the towering corpse flower.

Of course, the scent won't be available via live feed as the lily-like plant blossoms over the course of 48 hours. But viewers will be able to see the presentation of a burgundy-colored collar-shaped flower that could be several feet wide. 

As it blooms, the corpse flower will release a scent that's been likened to rotting flesh in an attempt to capture the attention of the carrion beetle for pollination purposes.
