Surat: A doctor and his assistant were arrested for allegedly causing the death of a woman while carrying out abortion of her 14-week-old foetus in the city. They have been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The doctor was not qualified to carry out abortion or perform surgery, being a general practitioner.
