Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata Tribute. Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata has died at only 55 years old after battling cancer for over a year.

Satoru Iwata was born in Sapporo, Japan in 1959. He worked on Nintendo’s most memorable games while at Tokyo-based Nintendo affiliate HAL Laboratory in the 80/90s. Satoru Iwata move to Nintendo in 2000. Iwata has a fun personality & always interacted with the gamers. At E3 2015 Nintendo presentation, he appeared as a Muppet designed by The Jim Henson Company.
