Brazil, India and South Africa are helping to launch a major livestock development program in the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia, which should boost food security and empower farmers. The government of Saint Lucia sees the South-South solidarity project as one of the keys to poverty reduction. It could reduce the island’s food imports bill, boost employment and improve people’s health, say some residents.
