Umno-owned newspaper Utusan Malaysia has claimed that the May Day protest against the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was infiltrated by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

In Mingguan Malaysia, the weekend edition of Utusan Malaysia it wrote, "Imagine a parade of naked people and those of the same gender kissing each other in front of Dataran Merdeka."
