Some 30 members from MCA Youth, Chinese associations and non-governmental organisations staged a five-minute protest at the PAS headquarters to oppose the party's plan to table a Private Member's Bill on hudud law.

They then submitted a a memorandum to PAS' staff Fadhil Osman, urging the Islamic party to respect the Federal Constitution.

The group however had come unannounced, and PAS was unable to give them a proper reception.
