In responding to a question over former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad's criticism on Najib in his blog, Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the former premier, Dr Mahathir Mohamad should air his views in a private meeting.

He said that although they respect his suggestions and would look into it Mahathir should not have been so open with his criticism.
