The ruling Front for Victory of Argentine President Cristina Fernandez was in first place in Sunday's primary elections. Its standard bearer for the October 25 general elections will be Daniel Scioli, who scored 38.48% of the vote. He will run against Mauricio Macri of the right-wing Cambiemos ticket, who obtained 24.18% of the vote. Scioli had pledged to continue and deepen Fernandez's progressive policies.
