A hilarious video has emerged from California, US of a group of road cyclists being joined by a turkey trying to keep up with their training ride.

The footage was captured on a body-camera worn by one of the riders last week.

The filmer later wrote online: "This turkey joined us for a bit at our cycling training camp in San Luis Obispo County, California.

"Displaying its feathers first it made sure to let us know who owned this stretch of road and then more than matched our speed as we tried to ride away up a hill."
