The controversial racial essay poser found in a Form 5 SPM model paper book was actually sourced from a Form 4 textbook published by the Education Ministry and Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka, an MP revealed today.
The essay poser, which asked questions such as why "Chinese were willing to kill Malays" and vice versa, among a host of other things, was based on an essay originally published in the anthology "Harga Remaja", which is a Form 4 textbook.
DAP's Sibu MP Oscar Ling (right in photo), who initially exposed the posers in Parliament yesterday, asked whether the essay about the May 13 incident was "relevant" to be published in a textbook for students.
