Despite having obviously failed in constructing and maintaining four incinerators worth almost RM 200 million, a contractor still had their contract renewed by the Housing, Local Government and Urban Well Being Ministry.
XCN Technologies were clearly termed as unqualified contractors who should have never been chosen for the project in a report tabled by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) yesterday.
But, DAP's Serdang MP Ong Kian Ming said in a press conference at the Parliament lobby that the contractors were still awarded a RM 3.5 million contract in April 2014 to continue repair and manage the Pangkor incinerator.
