Surat : An ancient tunnel was discovered in Chowk Bazaar area of Surat district. The tunnel was unearthed while 14th century fortress's restoration work was going on. The tunnel, which is touted to be more than 500-years-old. The members of Archaeology department said only a proper examination could help in understanding the purpose and secret of the newly discovered tunnel. The further details are awaited.
