Nexfest is the convention of the future organized by the technology magazine Wired. 150 exhibitors from all over the world gathered in Los Angeles to unveil the future of robotics, transportation and health. Wake Forest University specializing in regenerative medicine is the institution getting top billing at the convention this year. Scientists there have conducted the first successful transplants of organs grown in laboratories. In the transportation pavilion, Nextfest features rapid amphibious vehicles, air scooters, an electric unicycle, and for the first time in the USA, electro-solar cars from the Monaco-based Venturi Automobiles.
