German companies are desperate for well-trained workers. To help meet the shortage, they’re calling on the state to streamline the process granting asylum-seekers permission to work or train. And currently, Germany has more asylum-seekers than it has in decades. They’re an untapped source of workers for a labor market that badly needs it.
