Aaron wakes up the next morning still tied to the radiator. Back at Home Farm, Chrissie notices blood on Robert's collar but he claims it was from shaving. At the cafe, Robert denies seeing Aaron when questioned by Paddy. Robert goes back to the lodge with water for Aaron, who refuses it. Aaron tells Robert he will have to kill him to keep him quiet about what he did to Katie and Paddy. The pair argue about Robert's motivations for keeping their affair a secret and Robert asks Aaron if he thinks he could kill someone. When Aaron says yes, Robert produces a gun. At the pub, Paddy asks Lawrence where he can find Robert. Back at the lodge, Robert tells Aaron how much he struggled after Katie's death and that he would do anything to keep Andy from finding out the truth. Aaron dares Robert to shoot him, and Robert points the gun at Aaron with his finger on the trigger. Suddenly, the door bursts open and Robert turns and shoots Paddy in the arm.
