Given widespread shortages of medicines and the discovery of still usable buried medicines, designed to artificially boost purchases of such drugs, the Honduran government has admitted that the country's health system is in deep crisis. President Juan Orlando Hernandez said the military would intervene in the health system to stop the corruption but that formal charges will not be filed against the responsible parties.
