Two lion cubs are living with a family in a refugee camp in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, after a resident bought them from a local zoo and took them home. The cubs' owner, Saed Eldin al-Jamal, a 54-year-old Palestinian Authority employee, lets the children of his family and neighbors play with the cubs, which are now two-and-a-half months old. The cubs eat around one pound of meat a day. Al-Jamal adds that if anyone in Gaza is interested in showcasing them at a cafe as a local attraction, he will be willing to rent them for money.
