July 7 marks the first year anniversary of Protective Edge, Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip under the pretext of dismantling resistance positions and infrastructure. During the offensive, 2,200 residents were killed, 500 of them children, and 100,000 people were displaced left homeless. In addition, 10,000 buildings were destroyed.
