Ahmedabad: The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated this year on July 18, the same date on which the city will also celebrate the 138th Rathyatra of Lord Jagannath. For this reason, the top brass of the city police are being extra cautious in their preparations for the day. Police has doubled security arrangements in Muslim-dominated areas with special bandobast and additional deployment of forces at places near mosques and Eidgahs.
