White House Allows Visitor Photos Again

After a ban lasting four decades, First Lady Michelle Obama announced guests are allowed to take photos again while visiting the White House.

After a 40-year ban, people on tours of the White House are now allowed to take photos. 

First Lady Michelle Obama posted a video to her Instagram account announcing the good news.  

In it, she's seen ripping a sign that reads, "No photos or social media allowed."  

Her post includes the caption, "Visitors are now able to take photos and keep those memories for a lifetime!" 

The White House also asks anyone who snaps a photo to share it on social media with the hashtag 'WhiteHouseTour.'
