Parliamentary elections in Venezuela have been scheduled for Dec. 6. The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) will chose its candidates for the National Assembly in primary elections this Sunday and expects to once again obtain a majority at the polls. President Nicolas Maduro said he expects half of the party's elected legislators to be women. With December's vote, 19 elections will have been held since Hugo Chavez's Bolivarian Revolution came to power in 1998. teleSUR
