NEW ASSASSIN'S CREED GAMES ANNOUNCED (Escapist News Now)

Today Ubisoft revealed that they are adding to their mega successful Assassin's Creed franchise with a console port and a new mobile game.

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD will be coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. This game was originally a Playstation Vita exclusive and is now being ported. The story is set before the American Revolution, close to the timeline of Assassin's Creed 3. For the first time there is a female templar protagonist named Aveline de Grandpre who is a French African assassin. Aveline will have a story line in the upcoming AC4: Black Flag exclusively on Playstation. The game will get a complete graphical overhaul, re-mastered music and sound effects, and new missions.

Ubisoft also announced a mobile title called Assassin's Creed Pirates. The game is coming to smartphones and tablets and will coincide with the Golden Age of Piracy seen in Black Flag. You'll play as Alonzo Batilla, a young captain who crosses paths with Assassins and Templars including historical figures seen in AC4 like Blackbeard and Hornigold.

You'll manage your crew, upgrade your ship, recruit new crew members, and play massive real-time naval battles. Not much more is known except this game is due out sometime this fall and the Liberation port didn't have any release details, no pricing information on either title.
