Today's stand out is America's sweetheart, Zooey Deschanel at the Writer's Guild Awards in Hollywood, California.

This singer, writer, actress, and fashionista hit the red-carpet in a gorgeous Vintage frock from Shareen that came from no where else, but her own closet. Zooey rocked this floor length, plaid gown with major confidence—I mean does it get any cooler than Zooey, I sure don't think so! She added her own touch with a criss cross satin ribbon that tied around the backless frock.

This 32-year old new girl didn't do much with accessories, but with such a busy pattern, and a lot of it, she didn't need to. As for her hair, she stayed true to form with her blunt bangs and loose curls.

Her make up was understated, but still stunning with black liner on the top of her eyes and a lighter shadow in the bottom rim to make her baby blues pop. She paired that with a pale red pout for a winning combo.

The recently single gal, who rumor has it ready to mingle had super fun nails per the usual— a silver polish with lettered stencils on top, quite the appropriate mani for the writer's guild awards.

Overall, Zooey looked great! Her ensemble totally reflects her fun and quirky personality and that's what it's all about!
