The Capital City Minstrels (CCM), Delhi’s best known choir, comprises people from all walks of life - university students and professionals such as doctors, lawyers, architects, teachers, corporate executives and embassy personnel, of all ages and nationalities, from all the five continents, as diverse as French, German, South American, African, Chinese, Korean, Australian and Indian, all with one thing in common – their love of music.

CCM’s repertoire spans a wide range; from the earliest choral music to the entire spectrum of western classical music, and opera to ballads, folk songs, Broadway musicals, rock, pop, jazz as well as Indian music arranged for choir performance.

CCM has performed more than 50 concerts since the early 1990’s at prestigious venues such as the India

Habitat Centre, India International centre, Imperial Hotel, Hyatt Hotel and the Ashoka Hotel. CCM has also established strong cultural links with the Hungarian Cultural Centre, Alliance Francaise, the Austrian, Italian and Vatican Embassies and regularly perform for important events at these places.

The Peace Concert & December Christmas concerts are well attended events in Delhi’s music calendar. In June 2008, the choir had a very successful concert tour of Budapest (Hungary), Remscheider (Germany) and Paris (France).

In the 2009 Spring Concert programme, we are presenting a theme of romantic and well known songs from the 50’s and 60’s named “ How Deep Is Your Love” interspersed with Renaissance Madrigals, Blues and other light music.

CCM is a non - profit making society, which by continuing to perform with support from well-wishers , helps to spread the joy of choir music.
