Scientists are currently in the process of mapping shark ‘highways’ which are the ocean pathways they travel along consistently during their seasonal migrations.

The ocean may be vast, but research has shown that sharks tend to swim consistently along similar routes, or “ocean highways.” 


Scientists are currently working to map the actual paths in order to learn more about their movements and help with conservation efforts. 


Great white sharks have been tracked moving between various parts of the California coast and the Hawaiian islands as part of their seasonal migration.
