We start with the latest on the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS that has had Korea on edge for nearly a month now.
The government maintains the outbreak is slowing, but public fear is lingering as the number of cases and deaths continues to rise, affecting more regions nationwide.
Health authorities continue to face challenges after reports Tuesday of the deaths of a patient in their 40s and other patients who did not have any pre-existing conditions.
And this contradicts the theory that the virus is only seriously dangerous to those who are elderly or in poor health.
Amid the growing concerns, the World Health Organization held its ninth emergency meeting with Korean health authorities through video conference on Tuesday.
During the meeting, officials were updated on the latest situation and they discussed measures to better tackle the outbreak.
The WHO will announce the result of the meeting later today.
As of now, 19 people in Korea have died in the largest outbreak of the MERS virus outside the Middle East, while one-hundred-54 have been infected.
Nearly 56-hundred people are in quarantine after coming into contact with MERS patients.
