The Philippine national men’s basketball team remained unbeaten in three games in the Southeast Asian Games after overwhelming Timor Leste, 126-21, to complete a sweep of Pool A on Friday at the OCBA Arena Hall 1 in Singapore.
Prince Rivero scored 24 points – three more than Timor Leste’s entire total – while Kevin Ferrer knocked down five three-pointers to finish with 19.
Rivero, a sophomore from De La Salle University, shot 12-for-13 from the field and grabbed five rebounds.
The Philippines put the result beyond question as early as the opening period, where they outscored their foes, 40-3.
