In this video Jason Mercier talks about his phenomenally rapid rise to the top of the tournament poker world. In just three years Mercier has won an EPT title, two WSOP bracelets, and made numerous other big scores to rack up over $6 million in winnings.

All of that success understandably sidetracked him from that original plan to be a math teacher, although Mercier acknowledges that having studied math certainly hasn't hurt him at the tables.
