A new study reveals that wild chimps in the west African country of Guinea use leaf tools to access and consume alcoholic sap collected by the villagers.

Humans all over the world are known to drink alcohol and, for the first time, wild animals have been observed voluntarily consuming the substance as well. 

According to a recently published study, chimpanzees in the west African country of Guinea even use leaves as a tool to access it. 

Researchers who had already been working in the town observed the primates dipping into the containers of fermenting tree sap villagers had collected to make palm wine.
