Abhishek Bachchan plays a singer in his next film, the long-awaited Umesh Shukla-helmed All Is Well. The character is modelled on Abhishek’s father’s character in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Abhimaan.

Forty-two years ago, Amitabh Bachchan had played a professional singer in that film. And then, eight years later, Big B again played a singer in Rakesh Kumar’s Yaarana.This is the first time, since then, that an actor from the Bachchan clan has played a professional singer.
