Brazil Allocates US$60 Billion for Agricultural Production

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff announced that US$60 billion has been earmarked to support the country's agricultural sector through 2016. It is the highest figure ever and 25% above last year's budget allocation. A 2014 UN report praised Rousseff's essorts to boost food security and reduce hunger in Brazil. teleSUR
