Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade was scheduled to release on 1st May, but has not seen the light of the day as yet. Reason? Well, the film had such explicit content that the Committee was left shocked. When they saw the Milap Zaveri’s directorial venture, they found it as vulgar.

Our little birdie tells us that the makers were anticipating the Board to recommend several cuts, but were crestfallen when it outright refused to clear the film.

They were served a two week backdated rejection letter and have found the Board’s reasons too flimsy to digest. Eek! More digging revealed that Pritish Nandy even argued with the Board that they had cleared a film like Grand Masti, then why not Mastizaade?
Guess Nandy has forgotten that Grand Masti was cleared two years ago, when Pahlaj Nihalani was not heading the Censor Board. As of now, the decision over Mastizaade is still pending, awaiting reply from the Tribunal. Stay tuned!
