A Colombian national accused of being the mastermind of the murder of Venezuelan lawmaker Robert Serra arrived in Venezuela on Saturday to face charges. After being extradited from Colombia Leiva Padilla Mendoza, alias “el Colombia,” was charged with the October 2014 murder of Robert Serra, Venezuela’s youngest legislator. The 25-year-old socialist politician and his partner Maria Herrera were killed in his house. Security camera footage showing several men entering the home led to the detention of other suspects in the case, who pointed to Padilla as the man who organized the murder, paying hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars to his collaborators. teleSUR
