MQM holds protest on Water Shortage at Malir

The series of protests on artificial shortage of water in Sindh, especially in Karachi was continued and hugely participated by the people throughout the city, organized by Muttahida Quami Movement.
The protest rally was organized at Kala Board Malir and talking on the occasion, the member of Coordination Committee Qamar Mansoor said that the entire Pakistan’s economy ran by the revenues were paid by Karachi. He said that the federal and provincial governments did not bother to pay any heed to resolve water crisis despite the Karachiites kept paying their taxes for the economic prosperity of the country.
Mr. Qamar said that the government should better provide people’s fundamental rights to the people or they would come on the road to protest, while the participants raising the slogans “Go Sharjeel Memon Go.” He said that they had been portrayed as criminals and a continuous media trial was carrying on against their party.
He said that the entire Pakistan was evident of discriminations with Karachi and did not raise a voice for the Karachiites. He said that the people could not be scared by force and would continue supporting their beloved leader Mr. Altaf Hussain.
Members of Coordination Committee Arif Khan Advocate, Azeem Farooqui, MNAs Iqbal Muhammad Khan, Sajid Ahmed, MPAs Syed Waqar Hussain Shah and Nishat Zia Qadri also addressed on the occasion.
