Global stakeholders are debating the value of funding the Svalbard Global Seed Vault which is a nearly indestructible Arctic fortress that was built to be a secure back-up storage facility for the world’s seeds in case of a wipe out.

A debate is currently brewing over a state-of-the-art repository for seeds built near the Arctic.
