More than P1 million, expensive watches and pieces of jewelry, and shabu were confiscated in the surprise inspection conducted in the New Bilibid Prison. Because of this, 19 high-profiled inmates were immediately transferred to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) from Munti. This is due to their lavish lifestyle inside the maximum security compound.
