Qatar's head of state has arrived in Caracas for high profile talks with the Venezuelan government. Emir Tamim was greeted by President Nicolas Maduro at Miraflores Palace and is now holding talks with Venezuela's foreign ministry, aimed at boosting bilateral relations. Both Venezuela and Qatar are members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and will also discuss the stabilization of the price of oil. President Maduro says the meeting aims to promote the construction of a multi-polar world. The meetings thus far have helped to build friendship, said Venezuela’s President.
