Honduras: Gov't Seeks Civil Society Help in Stemming Migration

With Honduran government efforts to decrease the flow of children migrating to the United States floundering, authorities have called on civil society to help. Last year 20,000 minors attempted the trip north, with more than 10% caught and deported by Mexico for trying to illegally enter the United States. Civil society organizations say they're willing to help but that the government must change its strategy and attack the root causes driving migration.
