A 15-year-old Malaysian bicyclist was killed on the morning of June 5 while he was riding with a team of 40 at Kampung Gemuruh, Tepuh. During the ride, cyclists swerved to avoid one member who struck a pothole in the road. Syafiq Imran Syahril and two other cyclists drifted into the opposite lane, where he fell under the wheel of an oncoming trailer. His lower body was run over and he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah hospital.
