A police officer in New York City shot a man who attacked his partner with the claw side of a hammer and the NYPD has released a video from a surveillance camera.


A police officer in New York City shot a man who attacked his partner with the claw side of a hammer and the NYPD has released a video from a surveillance camera. 
The assailant is listed in critical but stable condition.
At the time of his shooting he was already a suspect in a series of assaults that involved the use of the tool.
Four of them occurred on Monday in Manhattan.
