The High Court of Taiwan surprisingly ruled that an unfaithful husband should not pay the money he agreed on granting to his ex wife.

The man, identified as Ni, was caught in 2010 in the act of adultery by his wife while he was in a motel in Kaohsiung in company of his mistress.
After the married couple divorced, the ex husband signed a written agreement in which he granted his ex wife custody of their kids, about US$2 million and a house.
Three years later, Ni realized he could not afford the sum of money he agreed on paying.

To solve the situation, the couple went to court. The court listened to Ni's complaints and ruled the man was forced by his wife to sign the agreement. The agreement was then suspended and the man relieved from paying the money he once promised.
