In China, it's normal coming across fake or counterfeit goods everywhere you go. In fact, it's probably more of a shock when things are actually real. You could say that China likes to keep it real with all its fake stuff.
Take the completely harmless Made in China iPhone chargers for example, they're a killer buy and perfect for any occasion. If dairy is your thing, the Chinese make a great melamine milk. And if you're into soy sauce made from leftover human hair picked up from barbershop floors, you're also in luck as China has plenty of that. Or perhaps you're looking for some beef that is actually pork made to look like beef. Let's not forget the completely fake eggs that can be made from all unnatural products.
China has also been making headlines for quite some time with its world renown gutter oil. Gutter oil is a fabulous Chinese creation. The term is used to describe recycled waste oil collected from sources like restaurant fryers, sewer drains, grease traps and slaughterhouse waste. Reprocessing is often ghetto using very rudimentary techniques for filtration, boiling, refining and removal of adulterants. The gutter oil is then packaged and resold as a cheaper alternative to normal cooking oil. Oh yeah, it's also carcinogenic, but that's not a big deal.
Now thanks to the people over at LiveLeak we also now see that some emergency doors in China are also only there for show. The video shows two sets of emergency doors that are next to each other. The person shooting the video walks into the set of emergency doors on the left into a small corridor that connects to the doors on the right. Classic Chinese design.
