Approximately 70 Mexican agricultural workers were wounded by police in San Quintin, Baja California, over the weekend. Their leaders are demanding medical care and say that the protests will continue. TeleSUR’s special correspondent sent a report in which workers say that ten workers were arrested, including four minors. They say they did not attack anyone, that they themselves are the ones who were attacked and are waiting for medical treatment. The Alliance for Justice demands the release of their comrades and rejects government attempts to frighten workers and keep them from organizing. The workers expect to meet the government on Wednesday to discuss a wage increase. teleSUR
