Elizabeth Highley, 56, was drinking at her Jensen Beach home with 25-year old Cruw Finlay when she obviously got the wrong end of the stick.

Worse for booze, she tried her luck, only for Finlay to reject her advances.

Enraged by the rejection, Highley then allegedly went crazy, grabbing a large knife and cane before attacking Finlay, who fled from the house after she cut his left thumb.

Highley gave chase, pursuing Finlay to a nearby gas station, where a local policeman disarmed and arrested her. Crying, angry and reeking of alcohol, Highley was taken in and booked.

She was charged with aggravated assault and released on $3,500 bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned on July 11.
