A Texas judge thought she was exempt from the law, begging officers to cut her a break during a DUI stop Saturday.
At around 1:00 am, 49-year-old Nora Longoria was on her way home from dinner when a McAllen police officer pulled her over for speeding.
According to the police report, officers smelled alcohol and noticed Longoria was slurring her words. Longoria failed her field sobriety test and refused to allow officers to handcuff her until they threatened her with additional charges.
"You are going to ruin my life. I worked hard for 25 years to be where I am today," she reportedly said.
Longoria confessed to officers she'd consumed five beers that night while having dinner with friends, but refused to take a breathalyzer.
Longoria was charged with driving while intoxicated and was released early Sunday on bond.
